Elixir is a cross between cathcart as the female parent and French stone hammer as the female parent. It is the sister of mistral, but the aroma is completely different.
It has low alpha acid content and a good bitter taste. The aroma is a complex blend, ranging from cathcot's orange notes to complex floral and sandalwood notes. It is one of the few European flowers suitable for both hot end and good casting.
Elixir is suitable for brewing hop lagers, New England IPA, Cython, Northern French style lager, etc.
